Civil War Preservation
The Civil War Preservation Trust
Richmond Battlefield Association
American Civil War Center
Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War
Serious students of history, in collaboration with corporations, non-profit groups, and the United States government, are successfully seeking ways to preserve the landmarks, battlefields, and memory of the Civil War for future generations. The Civil War Preservation Trust alone has preserved over 25,000 acres in nineteen states.
Belle Island Memorial
Currently, we are considering the construction of a memorial honoring Union soldiers who suffered or perished at the Confederate-run Belle Island prison camp in Richmond, Virginia. If constructed, this memorial would greatly improve upon the desecrated and poor-quality signage that exists there now.
