Second Colors of the Irish Brigade
Durable, parade-ready replica of the silk green flag presented to the Irish Brigade after the Battle of Fredericksburg. The Second Colors replaced the First Colors (which was shredded from action in the Peninsula Campaign and at Sharpsburg) and was presented to the Irish people by President Kennedy in 1963 in thanks for the sons they sent to preserve the Union.
Low-quality replicas of the First Colors are prevalent online, but the Second Colors is very rare.
